Job Title: State Information Systems Coordinator

Contract Days:  240, IT Tech II pay column, non-exempt

This position is directly supervised and evaluated by the Technology Director.

Job Summary

The State Information Systems Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all district data systems and user accounts. They will ensure that all systems are secure, efficient, and effective, and that all users have the appropriate level of access. The State Information Systems Coordinator reports to the Director of Technology.

Qualifications

The State Information Systems Coordinator is compensated on the IT Tech II payscale.  

Minimum Qualifications (based on IT Tech 2)

• Two years experience in a applicable IT environment is highly desirable
• Basic IT certification by an industry recognized certification authority is desirable
• Knowledge of basic hardware and software applications
• Operating system knowledge (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

Essential Job Functions

•  Oversee all district data systems, including student information systems, financial systems, and human resources systems
• Coordinate efforts of building registrars to improve accuracy of student data
• Manage user accounts, including setting up new accounts, assigning appropriate access levels, and deactivating accounts as necessary
• Ensure that all data systems are secure and that appropriate security measures are in place
• Develop and implement procedures related to data privacy and security
• Provide training and support to district staff on the use of data systems
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that data systems are aligned with the district's overall goals and objectives
• Work with vendors and service providers to ensure that all data systems are functioning properly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
