Job Title: Related Services Supervisor

Reports to:  Director of Student Support Services

 

 The Related Services Supervisor is directly supervised and evaluated by the Director of Student Support Services. This role serves as an essential point of contact for all related service personnel, parents, administrators, and contract service providers regarding related service therapies which may include, but not limited to speech/language services, physical and occupational therapy services, audiological services, school psychological/mental health services, and nursing services. This position could be on site/remote.

 

Qualifications of Employment:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree preferred;  supervisory experience preferred 
  • Experience in education, health care, social services, or related field

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all related services employees
  • Understand, follow, and execute the federal, state, and local regulations and rules  for each related service
  • Build sustainable, positive working relationships with a network of student service providers to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness in service alignment
  • Negotiate educational service contracts in the best interest of cost-effective use of public school funds
  • Ensure reciprocal compliance of executed service contracts from school and provider according to the school district’s procedures
  • Apply exceptional attention to detail on any related service invoice verification in conjunction with therapist notes, family verification, and/ or active IEP.
  • Develop proficiency in all essential related services tracking and communication systems utilized within the Support Services Department.
  • Apply appropriate sense of urgency if/when escalating any reported student barriers to accessing therapy sessions.
  • Review monthly related services cost projection data to provide feedback on trends, present assumptions, and /or to help inform administration for fiscal budgeting considerations
  • Oversee Medicaid Billing and Reimbursement monthly
  • Support tracking student collaborative processes involved with the local coordination of school-based student evaluations
  • Remain responsive and accessible to providers, case manager, therapists, nurses, and other stakeholders through electronic communications, and/or live consultation
  • Manage the related services team, including EOY related service personnel evaluations in conjunction with building principal, performance management, and other supervisory responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned. 



This position is pending school board approval.
