These positions are directly supervised and evaluated by Custodial Foreman/Supervisor.
Summary:
Maintain the quality of all buildings to ensure safety of students and staff.
Qualifications of Employment:

- Education and Experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus specialized training; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Communication. Internal: Custodial Supervisor and School personnel in the district. External: General Public.
- Mathematical skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Reasoning ability. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems and situations in a satisfactory manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean all bathrooms, sweep, clean mirrors, sinks, urinals, and toilets, walls, wet mop floors, fill toilet paper and paper towel holders, and pick up trash.
- Pick up trash in each room and replace trash can liners in trash cans.
- Vacuum each room, clean sinks, wipe off tables and counter tops and door handles, disinfect each student desk.
- Clean lockers twice weekly, fronts and tops of all lockers.
- Dry mop hallways each evening. Clean locker rooms, gym floors and windows.
- Dust TV’s, bookshelves, maps, clocks and clean spots on carpet.
- Clean equipment every night after use of vacuum cleaner, mops and buckets.
- Make sure all doors are locked and lights are off.
- Move furniture as needed to clean school areas.
- Responsible for equipment.
- Positively and proactively respond to the need of the Custodial Supervisor/Principal on custodial needs of the building.
- Maintain an effective, professional relationship with other building employees.
- Be welcoming and helpful to guests of the district.
- Other duties as assigned.
