This position instructs children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Provide assistance in teaching and student supervison of daily operations of the preschool classroom.
• Supervision of students and paraprofessional staff.
• Complete and follow all curricula and lesson planning requirements.
• Responsible for classroom arranement and procedural requirements.
• Student instruction and assistance with personal care needs.
• Ensure compliance at classroom level with activities and record keeping for Arkansas Better Chance Regulations,Child and Adult Care Food Program Regulations, Quality Voucher Regulations,Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and Early Childhood Environment Rating Scales.
• Communicate daily with parents and provide parent involvement programs. 
• Complete time certifications or other job documentation if requuired by salary funding source.
• Demonstrate strong moral and ethical judgement.
• Complete annual professional development as required by District, State, and Preschool Program.
• Assist in training paraprofessionals and substitutes.
• Follow all Russellville School District Policies and Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Plans individual and group activities to stimulate growth in language, social and motor skills such as learining to listen to instructions, playing with others and using play equipment.
• Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal or visual instruction of students with a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturation levels.
• Provides appropriate climate to establish and reinforce acceptable pupil behavior, attitudes and social skills.
